Seattle drafted play-making free safety Earl Thomas with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
The former University of Texas standout has never missed an NFL game over the past six and half-plus years in the National Football League. The five-time Pro Bowler has racked up nearly 600 combined tackles, 23 interceptions and 59 passes defensed in 106 regular season starts.
But that 118-start streak (including postseason/SB) will come to an end tomorrow afternoon in Tampa Bay.
After leaving last week’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a strained hamstring, the 27-year old will not suit up for the ‘Hawks tomorrow. Tough news for Seahawks fans, but luckily the NFC West leaders likely won’t need him in order to put the Bucacneers away.
Sidenote: Thomas never missed a game in high school or college, either. Pretty wild.
