Week 16: AFC & NFC Players of the Week Announced

The National Football League announced its AFC & NFC Player of the Week recipients for Week 16 action.

AFC

Offense: Dion Lewis, Patriots RB

Dion Lewis helped put New England one win closer to the No. 1 seed in the AFC with 129 rushing yards and two total TDs in the Pats’ 37-16 win over Buffalo.

Defense: Mike Hilton, Steelers CB

The undrafted Hilton record six total tackles and three sacks for the Steelers, becoming the first Steelers CB to record 3.0 sacks in a single game.

Special Teams: Harrison Butker, Chiefs PK

Butker drilled five of his six field goal attempts in Kansas City’s 29-13 win over Miami. His 49-yard field with 3:41 to play sealed the victory over KC.

NFC

Offense: Todd Gurley, Rams RB

Gurley single-handedly won many fantasy owners their FFL championship match-ups with 118 yards on the ground. He also led the team in receiving with 10 catches for 158 yards and 2 TD in the Rams’ win.

Defense: Harrison Smith, Vikings S

Harrison Smith record eight total tackles and a pair of interceptions in Minnesota’s 16-0 shutout of the Packers Saturday night at Lambeau.

Special Teams: Damiere Byr, Panthers KR

On three kick returns, Byr racked up 146 yards and a touchdown for Carolina’s special teams. His 103-yard touchdown return broke a 6-6 tie in the second quarter.
