As we rapidly approach training camp, the Miami Dolphins have made one last attempt at solidifying its offensive backfield via free agency.
With Lamar Miller in Houston, Miami’s front office will sign former Houston running back Arian Foster to a one-year deal reportedly worth $1.5 million.
Foster, 29, played just four games last season and will be turning 30 years old prior to the start of the regular season. In his seven years in Houston, the undrafted running back and four-time Pro Bowler put up four 1,000-yard seasons and has 54 career rushing touchdowns.
If he can even come somewhat close to his 2014 production (1,246 yards, 8 TD in 13 starts), however, he’d be well worth the measly $1.5 million they’re investing in him.
