Quarterback Nick Foles will be reuniting with his former head coach Andy Reid, as he’ll reportedly be signing a one-year deal (with an option for a second year) with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Foles, 27, spent the first three years of his four-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles, posting a 15-9 record in 24 career starts with the team. He’ll always be remembered by Eagles fans for his Pro Bowl 2013 campaign, in which he threw for 2,891 yards, 27 touchdowns and just two picks. In those 10 starts that season (8-2 record), Foles posted a QB rating of 119.2, leading the league.

Foles spent the 2015 season with the St. Louis Rams, but did not follow the team to Los Angeles this off-season. In 11 starts, he posted a 4-7 record in ’15, throwing seven touchdowns and 10 picks. With rookie QB Jared Goff going No. 1 overall to LA, Foles wanted out.

I doubt Foles will be able to compete with Alex Smith for any starts this year, so it appears he’ll be making a full transition to career backup quarterback.
