It’s official. New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman will miss the first four games of the 2018 NFL season.

Edelman’s appeal has officially been denied by the National Football League

The 32-year-old wideout caught 98 passes for 1,106 yards and a trio of touchdowns for New England in 2016 and missed the entire 2017 season due to a torn ACL in the preseason.

Week 5 of this year, Edelman will finally have the chance to hit the field for the first time since catching 5 passes for 87 yards in New England’s 34-28 Super Bowl win over Atlanta Feb. 5, 2017.

Looks like we’ll see a heavy dose of Chris Hogan, Jordan Matthews and Phillip Dorsett in early September.
