Fantasy: Deshaun Watson Emerging as a Viable QB Option

I know people hate hearing about other people’s fantasy teams.

But can we just talk about how I’m actually considering starting Houston’s rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson over Atlanta’s MVP quarterback Matt Ryan for the rest of the season?

A couple of weeks ago I managed to snag Watson off-waivers, and with Ryan on bye this past weekend I slipped him into my lineup.

Bam. 45 points.

It was his second consecutive 40+ point week, and he tossed a rookie QB record five touchdowns against Kansas City.

Over the past two games, the 22-year old has tossed nine touchdowns with just one pick. He had 300 yards against New England in just his second career NFL start.

Only Aaron Rodgers has more touchdown passes then Watson (13 for Rodgers, 12 for Watson), and he has 44 less pass attempts than A-Rod. Impressive.

With Cleveland next up for Watson & Co. this week, I’m sticking with him for now. We’ll see how this plays out, but I’m certainly going to ride the Watson train while it’s hot.
