Well, Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive tackle Fletcher Cox finally got his big payday. And he’s now locked up through the 2022 NFL season.

It has been reported that Cox and the Eagles have agreed on a six-year, $103 million contract extension. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the deal includes $63 million in guaranteed money. Not bad for a DT, huh?

Cox, 25, was selected 12th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft, a standout out of Mississippi State. He has started all 16 games in three out of his four seasons, and just put up his first Pro Bowl-worthy performance in ’15, racking up career-highs in total tackles (71) and sacks (9.5).

Cox was set to become an unrestricted free agent following the 2016 season, but he’ll now be staying put in Philadelphia.
