The Penn State commit took time out of his day to speak with the All-Out Blitz regarding his high school career and why he chose Penn State to further his football career:

All Out Blitz: If you were not playing football what sport would you choose?

Jake Cooper: “I’d say wrestling and track, but mostly wrestling.”

AOB: To you, what is the most challenging part of playing football?

Cooper: “Getting in shape. Getting in football shape is very challenging.”

AOB: What has been your biggest football achievement so far in your career?

Cooper: “It has to be winning the State Championship this year, but also individually being named All-State and committing to Penn State University to play.”

AOB: Why did you choose to attend Penn State?

Cooper: “It is a tremendous university. The support of the fans, the academics at the school, and the energy Coach Franklin and the coaching staff brings to the university is something I’ve never experienced.”

AOB: Penn State is known as Linebacker U. What qualities do you feel you bring to the position?

Cooper: “I will give 150% and work my butt off for the team. And I’m a field general with leadership capabilities, which fires up my teammates.”

Cooper shows a high motor fit for the middle linebacker position. He covers a lot of ground, and with his 6’2″/225 build he is built for the next level already. He recorded an outstanding 152 tackles and 6.0 sacks for Archbishop Wood in 2013.
