Philadelphia Extends Win Streak, Stays Atop NFL Standings

November 6, 2017 • Ben Heck • Front Page, Game Recap, NFC, NFC East, Philadelphia Eagles

Another week, another Philadelphia victory.

The Eagles improved to 8-1 on the year with today’s 51-23 victory over the struggling Denver Broncos. The victory stretches Philly’s win streak to seven games.

Philly’s 51-point onslaught marked the third consecutive game in which Carson Wentz’s offensive attack put up 30+ points against the opposing team’s defense.

On 15-of-27 passing, Wentz tossed for 199 yards and four touchdowns. The second-year quarterback has thrown 23 touchdowns and five interceptions through just nine games this year.

Oh, and as if that’s not enough to pump Philly fans’ self-confidence through the roof … it’s just the fifth time in team history that Philly has started the season with an 8-1 record. The other four times? Philadelphia reached either the NFL championship game or the Super Bowl.

That is quite the stat.

Next up for Philadelphia? Bye week, Dallas, Chicago to finish out November. Expect to see a 10-1 Eagles heading into December.
