Potentially a Torn ACL For Teddy Bridgewater: Vikings Doomed?

August 30, 2016 • Ben Heck • Breaking News, Camp/Preseason, Front Page, Minnesota Vikings, NFC North

Well, I don’t think anyone saw this coming.

News out of the NFC North today is that the serious non-contact injury quarterback Teddy Bridgewater reportedly suffered in practice could very likely be a torn ACL. This would keep the 23-year old out for the entire 2016 season.

Though the future Hall of Fame RB Adrian Peterson and a decent defense still remains in Minnesota, not having Bridgewater under center this season could spell disastrous for the Vikings. It’ll be tough to compete with the Green Bay Packers and even the Chicago Bears if Shaun Hill and Joel Stave become the two guys competing for the starting job.

And options on the free agent market are pretty scarce as well:
